Vittorfranco Pisano specialises in comparative political institutions and international security.
A graduate in Political Sciences and in Law, he is a university lecturer in Unconventional Conflict and Terrorism (SPS/04) within the Second-Level Master's in Information Sciences for Security at eCampus University.
He has previously taught at Georgetown University, the Defense Intelligence College, the U.S. Army War College, Troy State University European Division, the University of Urbino, John Cabot University and Link Campus University of Malta. He was also a lecturer in the Second-Level University Master's in Theories and Methods of Criminal Investigation at the Department of Sociology and Communication of the Sapienza University of Rome.
He was a consultant to the Subcommittee on Security and Terrorism of the United States Senate and a reviewer of the courses run by the United States Department of State under the Anti-Terrorism Assistance Program.
He is currently Head of the Department of Information Sciences for Security at Istituto UNINTESS in Mantua. Prof. Pisano is the author of monographs and articles on Security and Intelligence.
He has been awarded numerous honours for civil and military merit, including the Cross of Commander of the Order of Merit of the Republic (Italy), the Legion of Merit (USA), the Silver Medal of National Defence (France) and the Silver Cross of Honour of the Armed Forces (Germany).
